The Email/Affiliate Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management of both the affiliate and email automation channels for and other proprietary web properties. This position is charged with achieving lead targets on finite monthly/quarterly budgets and maximizing overall sales and revenue return and ROI of both channels. This role will be accountable for management of budgets for affiliates. The Email/Affiliate Specialist is responsible for the ongoing reporting and analysis of granular and macro-level events as they pertain to both the affiliate and email automation channels in any way relevant to Inogen's ongoing consumer and business-to-business lines of business.

Key Competencies:

  • Affiliate and email automation program management and oversight.
  • Affiliate and email automation reporting; report building, maintenance, expansion and delivery to senior marketing staff.
  • Proactively building the number of affiliate partners through outreach, recruiting and relationships to achieve monthly growth goals.
  • Identifying and recruiting new affiliates through various channels including social networks, communities and groups, blog postings, email, etc.
  • Negotiating and managing contracts and commission structures for affiliates.
  • Monitoring affiliate activity, analyzing performance, identifying areas of improvement, and recommending ways to increase affiliate performance.
  • Coordinate day-to-day email marketing campaign execution, including planning, targeting, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create and deliver highly-targeted/segmented marketing campaigns, lifecycle emails, retention/reactivation programs, and loyalty building communications.
  • Ad copy writing, ad copy testing, partner/reseller/competitive landscape ad copy monitoring.
  • Landing page wireframe design and testing. A/B/C testing, multivariate.
  • Comply with CAN-SPAM guidelines and help to govern email list recipients.
  • Champion both affiliate and email plans and create business cases for new opportunities.
  • Develop documentation and road maps for all processes.

Do you possess these abilities?

  • Quant background, analytically oriented
  • Experience using major ecommerce platforms preferred
  • Able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing in general
  • Strong account management and business development skills to manage existing affiliate marketing relationships and recruit new high-quality traffic placements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Communications or related field of study, required.
  • 3+ years' experience in the Marketing field, required
  • Advanced knowledge/proficiency in Google Analytics and Microsoft Office, required
  • Advanced skills in HTML5/CSS3, required.
  • Intermediate knowledge/proficiency in email marketing and marketing automation technology, required.
  • 1-3 years' experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, preferred.
  • A combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Working Conditions:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
  • Up to 100% of their time will be spent working on the computer, reading, typing, and meeting with others.
