Responsibility for the completion of bi-weekly payroll processing and the administration of all areas of the payroll process.  Assist with certain Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger functions. Responsible for the preparation of the payroll journal entries and monthly GL account reconciliations in Blackline.

Key Competencies:

  • Ownership of entire payroll process including training for payroll backup personnel
  • Train and assist employees on navigating through the Company's time entry system, follow up with incomplete or unapproved time cards prior to payroll submission, troubleshooting issues with employees and managers
  • Register the Company in states or countries in which new employees may reside
  • Point person for any payroll or 401(k) related audits
  • Responsible for processing employee expense reimbursements in ADP
  • Prepare monthly workers compensation reports and payments
  • Responsible for importing and payment of bi-weekly sales commissions
  • Responsible for new vendor and employee set-up in Oracle
  • Assist with various Accounts Payable duties as necessary
  • Responsible for preparation of the bi-weekly payroll journal entries and monthly GL reconciliation
  • Responsible for desktop deposit of non-AR receipts
  • Any other responsibilities or projects as assigned


Do you possess these abilities?

  • Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Payroll systems, preferably ADP
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Knowledgeable with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to payroll
  • Able to work under independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Problem-solving and resolution skills
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals



  • Bachelor degree in related field, preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a payroll position
