JOB DESCRIPTION The Sr. Patient Technical Services Advocate provides support and service to respiratory patients that have purchased directly from Inogen or have enrolled in Inogen's home respiratory therapy services. Provides customer service to internal/external customers; serves as front line contact for incoming inquiries, customer questions and sales requests.  Works as a team member supporting sales direct to patient and/or to provider in collaboration with sales representatives, distributors and partners both domestically and internationally.  Handles product questions, and assures the customer's needs are expeditiously addressed.  Works to provide the highest level of service at all times.

Key Competencies:

  • Answer incoming customer calls, emails and requests for information.
  • Act as an information source for internal and external customers in the area of product and service.
  • Assist in execution of customer and/or product surveys to provide better service and products delivered to market.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of service to customers, process and product.
  • Receive and process domestic orders as well as returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Answer incoming customer calls, emails and requests for information.
  • Assists in handling complex/escalated calls from advocates.
  • Responsible for training new hires and assisting with recurring trainings.
  • Process customer complaints, recognized as a technical expert who performs extensive product troubleshooting calls and issue RMA numbers.
  • Responsible for assisting with reporting, special projects, and any other work related duties as needed.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Must possess good time management skills.
  • Must be organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Oracle experience a plus.


  • BA in Business, English, Communications or related area desirable
  • 5+ years Customer Service / Sales / Administrative Management background or relevant work experience required.
