JOB DESCRIPTION 

The Accounts Payable Analyst will lead Continuous Improvement & Innovation initiatives. Responsible for defining, planning, tracking and managing assigned projects. Will oversee the company's purchase card program-- auditing and validating transactions.

Key Competencies:

  • Develop, analyze, track and report on AP Related Metrics
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis, recommending improvements to policies & procedures
  • Lead Continuous Improvement program for the department and interface with IT Analyst on systems requirements & resources
  • Manage daily communication with receiving and purchasing departments to resolve invoice entry issues.
  • Reconcile company purchase card transaction on a weekly basis.
  • Take full ownership of assigned vendors by reconciling vendor statements monthly as well as researching and correcting discrepancies to ensure minimal outstanding items on problem log, 2013 account, and AP aging.
  • Provide support to the AP team during peak workflow periods.
  • Provide project status reports to team on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with any other duties that may be assigned.

Do you possess these abilities?

  • Strong communicator with ability to multi-task & priortize
  • Must be well-organized and a self-starter
  • Highly focused in-order-to meet the objectives of the department/company without giving in to undue distractions & challenges
  • Project Management experience desired
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting software and MS Office (Especially Excel)

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • High school diploma required
  • College course work in related field, preferred
  • Basic knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles - GAAP
  • Experience in Oracle applications highly desired
