JOB DESCRIPTION 

The Project Manager role is responsible for planning and executing projects within DTP Commercial group (DTP & B2B). Typical project portfolios for a project manager may contain software implementation or improvement projects as well as business process improvement or expansion projects. The Project Manager reports into the DTP Sales Operations Director and is responsible for coordinating cross-functional resources and schedules to deliver project plans and deliverables on-time, within budget, and in alignment with department and company-wide priorities

Key Competencies:

  • Establish and maintain best practice policies and procedures for project management with particular attention to operations within the Commercial Operations Group
  • Oversee assigned project portfolio including active and upcoming projects (as assigned) to monitor resource availability and scheduling
  • Directly manage assigned projects including planning, execution and monitoring of schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Achieve project deliverables to scope within budget, timeline, and resource plans and constraints.

Do you possess these abilities?

  • Project Management best practices, preferably according to PMI processes
  • Agile project management methodology for use with appropriate projects
  • Fluent in MS Project, Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Proven leadership ability with an emphasis on accountability and conflict management
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional resources
  • Experience with Lean and / or Six Sigma principles required

Working Conditions:

  • The project manager will operate in an office environment and may need to travel between Inogen and off-site locations (as necessary) to complete project objectives and meet with project personnel and vendors.

 

Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree from a 4-year accredited college/university required
  • Minimum 3 years of project management or related experience
  • Preferred project management certification from PMI or equivalent
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma experience desired
