JOB DESCRIPTION 

Supports Accounting department with implementing process improvements, performs account analysis, various reconciliations, and monthly close duties. 

Key Competencies:

  • Perform variety of month-end closing procedures including preparation of account reconciliations and posting of journal entries.
  • Generation, analysis, review and communication of financial data that reflects actual finance performance against budget.
  • Analyze financial statement accounts, identify unusual trends or erroneous entries, and verify accuracy of transactions and balances.
  • Complete assigned reconciliations of asset and liability accounts and provide detail support for review.
  • Assist with the review of Staff Accountant and/or clerical personnel's work.
  • Take ownership of accounting records and research of transactions and reports.
  • Perform regular and recurring accounting functions that require professional competency.
  • Assist in formulating accounting procedures and new policies and the implementation of those systems.
  • Assist with various projects that are assigned to the Finance and Operational Departments when requested.
  • Streamline procedures and automatization of manual processes.
  • Assist in other areas as needed.

Do you possess these abilities?

  • Experience with financial accounting software and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Solid accounting knowledge including GAAP, along with the ability to take direction and communicate effectively with customers and suppliers, as well as employees at all level of organization.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Independent thinker; able to analyze issues and provide reasonable solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study.
  • 4 to 7 years of related experience.
  • Consideration given to equivalent combinations.
