JOB DESCRIPTION 

The primary role of the Manufacturing Engineering Technician is to support the Manufacturing Engineering team in order to meet operational and departmental goals. Key responsibilities include, writing and updating technical documents, updating BOMs, testing equipment, collecting data, and assisting in the layout of production cells.

Key Competencies:

  • Updating manufacturing procedures
  • Collecting and presenting data, as directed
  • Updating label files and label drawings
  • Organizing, tracking, testing, and inspecting inventory components as directed
  • Updating equipment specifications and equipment procedures
  • Testing equipment functionality and collecting results
  • Assisting in the layout of production lines
  • Assisting in the organization of Inogen lab facilities to ensure a productive and safe working environment that aligns with 5S and lean principles

Do you possess these abilities?

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks is desired
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, and fabrication equipment is desired
  • Detail oriented with attention to product quality
  • ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 experience is desired
  • Experience in medical devices and FDA regulated environments is desired
  • Experience operating in a lean and 5s based company is desired

Work Conditions:

  • Office, lab, and manufacturing floor environment

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree, or a minimum of 2 years in a Bachelor of Science (BS) program, in a related technical discipline is required
  • BS in engineering or scientific field is desired
  • 2+ years' experience desired, but not required
