Job Summary:

The Director of Sales is responsible for directing DTP Managers and their teams.  They will provide vision and guidance to the managers and their teams to execute projected cash and insurance quotas. The Director of Sales will work closely with the VP, Patient Sales and VP, Marketing to implement sales programs and strategies in alignment with corporate goals and directions.

Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)

  • Plans and directs sales force activities to achieve sales and rental targets.
  • Ensure execution of the developed sales strategies, plans and promotional programs.
  • Play an active role in recruiting and staffing their sales organization.
  • Manage Sales Managers performance utilizing accepted HR practices.
  • Ensure staffing levels are met and ensure attrition levels are effectively managed.
  • Recruit, retain and develop sales talent across the organization
  • Implements trial programs (pricing, product, process or program), monitors and reports on the progress of these for their teams
  • Ensures that their organization is meeting all compliance standards and expectations for DTP sales
  • Meets rejection rate expectations for cash and insurance sales orders processed.

  • Strong leadership skills - Have the skill and the will to help teams adopt the DTP vision and keep them focused on working towards achieving targets and goals.
  • Performance Management Effectively use performance management techniques to manage team performance and achieve goals and targets.
  • Coaching Strong ability to coach and develop organizations to drive critical business objectives
  • Business Acumen - Possess critical business thinking skills that shows strength in analyzing key metrics (call activity, talk time, close rates, leads worked, etc.) so that action plans can be developed to improve performance across the sales organization
  • Staffing Ability to help managers recruit, hire and retain key talent to grow sales performance across the organization
  • Technical Competency Ability to effectively use CRM systems (Salesforce) and Telephony systems (NVM)

Working Conditions

  • Teams will be managed from an office location
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
  • Position could be located in Richardson, TX, Goleta, CA or Cleveland, OH

Qualifications (Experience and Education)

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in managing inside sales teams as a second-tier manager
  • Direct to Consumer and DME Sales and/or sales management experience preferred
