JOB DESCRIPTION
The Payroll/Accounting Clerk will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll and assist in the documentation of all areas of the payroll process. In addition the Payroll/Accounting Clerk will assist with certain AP/AR and General Ledger functions.

Key Competencies:

  • Responsible for payroll administration including training and assisting employees on navigating through the company's time entry system, following up on incomplete or unapproved time cards prior to payroll submission, and troubleshooting issues with employees
  • Responsible for tax registration in states where new employees may reside
  • Assist with payroll and/or 401k related audits
  • Process new vendor requests
  • Prepare monthly workers compensation report and payment
  • Assist with monthly sales commissions calculations and payments.

Do you possess these abilities?

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must have experience of working with payroll systems; ADP payroll experience desired
  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to payroll
  • Must have the ability to easily adapt to rapidly change priorities

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience processing payroll, ADP experience a plus
  • Familiarity with concepts, practices and procedures related to payroll
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
