JOB DESCRIPTION 

Responsible for recovery of outstanding rental equipment and unreturned cash equipment for current and former Inogen patients.  Manages queues of open RMAs with a strategic approach to maximize recoveries.  Negotiates sale of equipment, partners with shipping/receiving to return equipment, and/or pursues other recovery options under the supervision of Department leadership.  When necessary, arranges for debt to be submitted to collection agencies or written off.

Key Competencies:

  • Responsible for making outbound phones calls to patients with outstanding equipment with the objective of recovering said equipment.
  • Utilize negotiation skills and sales tactics to sell outstanding equipment when appropriate
  • Researches patient accounts to determine pathway to RMA resolution, including possible sale of equipment and credit card processing.
  • Adhere to call handling metrics and standards to ensure proper customer support and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Required to communicate with different departments in order to resolve customer accounts
  • Request external delivery couriers in the return of outstanding units
  • Collaborate with partnered collection agencies to validate outstanding equipment and patient debt.
  • Accountable for handling complex issues and possibly de-escalating upset patient
  • Responsible for documenting all patient interactions in appropriate systems and work to maintain accurate record keeping
  • Manage the team phone queues to ensure that customers are assisted promptly.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Do you possess these abilities?

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must possess good time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Must be detail-oriented and analytical to ensure patient responsibility is being assessed properly
  • Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce and/or Oracle preferred
  • Work experience or knowledge of the healthcare industry, preferably specific to Medicare

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be sitting at a desk working on a computer. The employee will also be required to use the telephone as well as speaking with and listening to others.  
  • This job requires employee to frequently walk, sit, talk and hear, typing or writing during working hours.

 

Working Conditions:

  • The noise level in the office work environment is moderate.
  • Up to 90% of their time will be spent working on the computer, on the phones, reading, typing, and training/meeting with others.

 

Requirements:

  • Associates degree or above is preferred, or comparable work-related experience
  • 2+ Years of Customer Service or Inside Sales experience required
  • 1+ Years of Equipment Recovery/Collections preferred
