JOB DESCRIPTION This role has the direct responsibility of managing the company logistics requirement including raw material inbound shipments and domestic and international product delivery to both residential and businesses. This position is responsible for negotiating contracts with logistics companies and ensuring the performance of these companies meets the needs of Inogen and Inogen's customers. Additionally, this position will manage the shipping teams at Inogen's distribution locations. Develop and implement a logistics program to support our import, export and domestic transportation requirements.

Key Competencies:

  • Ensure the safe operation of the shipping teams in utilizing fork lifts, hand trucks and other equipment needed to transport product from packaging to the vehicles for transportation
  • Negotiate rates with monitor the performance of logistics companies to support Inogen's various transportation requirements
  • Standardize the shipping process and conduct dedicated continuous improvement exercises within the shipping group to improve efficiency and reduce cost
  • Ensure the shipping teams in both facilities maintain good practices with respect to Inogen's workplace organization method to include, but not limited to sanitation, and other various initiatives assigned

Do you possess these abilities?

  • Solid PC skills with a fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook E-mail
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills and intimate familiarity with UPS and FedEx contracts


  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Industrial management or logistics is preferred
  • 7-10 years in the logistics field with 3-5 years management experience
